Designing with People in Mind: Our 2025 Theme

At Circ, each collection begins with a theme. It is not just a creative constraint, but a focused way to explore form, movement, and function through a single lens. For our first year, we started with something simple and universal: People.

The human form says a lot without speaking. Through posture, tension, and balance, it tells stories. That expressive quality made it the perfect starting point for a brand that values boldness, character, and functional design.

This year’s collection brings that idea to life through abstract figures. You will find characters holding cables, climbing walls, leaning against books, or simply resting. They are not mere shapes. They are gestures. They are moments.

Why People?

In the early days of building Circ, we kept returning to one question: how do we express the brand’s personality through products? We knew we wanted the work to be bold, playful, and functional. Abstract people felt like the clearest way to communicate that right away.

Some forms are geometric and abstract like Starboy. Others are more character-like, such as Book keepers. All of them are grounded in motion. One Book Keeper leans back, struggling to hold a stack in place. Another pushes forward with intention. While one just sits down with his back to the books. These are functional pieces, but they also feel alive.

The same spirit exists across the collection. Hang On features a figure sitting at the edge of your desk, gripping a cable between its knees. Another flips upside down as if trying to rescue it. On Edge perches in a careful balance, holding a cord with gentle precision. Whether playful or subtle, each product expresses something.

Designed for Use, Styled with Personality

Every Circ product is first designed around its core function. The forms are expressive, but they never compromise practicality.

  • Book Keepers use base plates and the books’ weight for stability

  • Hang On includes both screw holes and double-sided tape for flexible mounting

  • On Edge grips cables without causing wear

  • Hold Up supports horizontal and vertical phone viewing with easy access to charging

  • Bubble Planters include hidden drip trays to preserve surfaces without sacrificing form

Even when the objects seem lighthearted, they are always solving real, everyday problems.

A Personal Connection

Good design is more than useful. It is relatable. Some users may see themselves in the characters. Others might enjoy the humor in a pose or the contrast of a bold color. One might pick a piece for its mood. Another might simply love the shape.

We hope these moments of interaction feel personal. That they invite a smile, a pause, or even a sense of recognition. Our aim is not just to decorate a space, but to animate it.

Looking Ahead

People is the first in a series of yearly themes. While we may release pose variations or new colors throughout the year, most of the studio’s focus will soon turn to the next chapter. A new theme means new behavior, new form, and new ways to explore motion and meaning in everyday objects.

Circ will keep evolving, just like the people who inspired this collection.
